Mixed feelings. Host Marco is great, friendly and helpful. I'd give him 5 stars if there weren't issue with the property. Room information on ******* said room has TV but didn't. It also says it has air-conditioning but was told no no during October so not happy about having to open windows for air as the noise affected the quality of sleep.

Thank you for the review concerning me. Thank you also for pointing out that there is no TV in the room. Indeed, for some years now, there hasn’t been a TV in our guests’ rooms; I had forgotten to remove it from the facilities on this site and I will do so immediately. Regarding the air conditioning, I found your request somewhat strange, given that it is mid-October (the outside temperature did not exceed 20 degrees Celsius during the day and 12 degrees Celsius at night), with the heating already on and the room radiators warm. As I explained to you in person, it was sufficient to turn off the radiators and open the windows for a few minutes to air out a bit and furthermore. Actually, the room windows overlook a courtyard full of greenery and very peaceful.

Casa Baseggio was a fab find away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Everything was within easy distance and a seven minute walk after getting off the vaperetto from the Airport. . The B & B was in a lovely old courtyard just off a quiet canal. Everything was as described, bed was comfortable and there was a kettle for making tea or coffee. A generous breakfast was served outdoor on a patio overlooked by the greenery of the walled garden next door. Our hosts, Marco and Alessandra, were so welcoming and helpful and their restaurant suggestions were spot on. Will be back.

Un piccolo gioiellino in una zona di Venezia che non è ancora stata travolta dall’iperturismo in cui si può godere di tutta la tranquillità che si desidera. La nostra camera - superior al piano terra - era pulita, ben arredata e dotata di ogni confort. I proprietari sono stati molto accoglienti e gentili e ci hanno permesso di lasciare i bagagli l’intera giornata dopo il checkout. A poca distanza dal B&B c’è una graziosa via con tanti locali a lato del canale, ottimi per colazioni, cicchetti e cene.

This is a lovely place to stay in Venice. The location is gorgeous - just 10 minutes from the main sites but in a really quiet area on a small canal. It is only 5 minutes to lots of restaurants and amazing wine bars but away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. The actual B&B is situated in a historic building and although the room is quite old fashioned, it is very clean and comfortable and includes everything you could need. The breakfast was on a really quaint terrace overlooking some gardens and we had a really good good selection of food and great coffee! Unfortunately when we visited Marco, the owner was away but his friends were looking after us. They were really hospitable and gave us lots of really good recommendations for places to visit and restaurants. All in all it almost felt like staying with friends and it was a great experience. Thank you - we had a wonderful stay with you!

An outstanding place to stay Staying here with the delightful owners was the highlight of my trip. I was alone so having friendly and helpful people who cared about my experience made for wonderful memories.

Ein Kleinod - absolut empfehlenswert :-) Wir waren für 4 Tage in Venedig, das Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert, es liegt in einem ruhigen Viertel, dennoch ist das Zentrum fu?l?ufig gut zu erreichen. Es gibt einige nette Restaurants in der N?he, wo man auch Einheimische trifft. Die Leute im Hotel, speziell Marco waren supernett :-)

Marco and his wife were superb hosts and even gave us tips on where to dine in the neighborhood. Breakfast was lovely on their patio with birds chirping in the background. We appreciated being able to leave our bags on departure day and pick them up later before boarding a cruise ship. Wi-fi is a bit spotty but we were able to connect in the hallway for when we needed it. Would definitely stay here again.

Casa Baseggio is an oasis of peace in the bustle of Venice. Everything is exactly as represented in the listing. Our room looked out onto a leafy courtyard, set back from a quiet canal. The bed was comfortable, and there was a kettle for making tea or coffee. A generous breakfast was served outdoor on a patio overlooked by the greenery of the walled garden next door. Our hosts, Marco and Alessandra, were welcoming, knowledgeable and kind. There are lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the vaporetto is also close by. A real find.

This property is definitely off the beaten path which is great for sleeping but not so much for getting there upon your arrival.
